SafeNet Authentication Services Protect
What do we protect?
SafeNet Authentication Service allows organizations to use strong authentication anywhere a password is currently used. We protect the cloud, applications, networks, and logon to Windows and UNIX machines.
Cloud and Web applications
Cloud and web applications are protected via the use of the industry standard SAML, by using one of SafeNet Authentication Service APIs, or by the use of SafeNet Authentication Service web agents. Alternatively there are many plug-ins available for web servers that allow interaction via the industry standard RADIUS protocol.
Network Access Devices
Network access devices, such as VPNs and firewalls, normally communicate with SafeNet Authentication Service using the industry standard RADIUS protocol. This includes most devices from Cisco, Checkpoint, Juniper, SonicWall, Fortinet and Watchguard, as well as Microsoft's firewall and VPN offerings. Some devices such as older versions of Citrix Gateways that do not support RADIUS fully can be protected by installing a SafeNet Authentication Service agent on the device. Configuration can be completed in a matter of minutes, after which SafeNet Authentication Service protected users can authenticate.
Windows and UNIX
SafeNet Authentication Service protects Unix systems and Microsoft Windows. UNIX systems and applications that support PAM can also authenticate against SafeNet Authentication Service. Any application that is "PAM aware" can use PAM's support for RADIUS to authenticate against SafeNet Authentication Service.
Use of a SafeNet Authentication Service agent protects Microsoft Windows desktops, domains, remote desktop services and terminal servers. The agent can also allow offline authentication, for example for use with laptops where they are not connected to the corporate network.
RADIUS Agents
If you are using RADIUS for communication between a protected device or application and SafeNet Authentication Service, it is necessary to install a SafeNet Authentication Service agent on your RADIUS server.
SAS Migration Agent
Designed to meet the migration requirements of large enterprises with complex IT environments, this agent lets you take advantage of the improved security and reduced cost and administration of SafeNet Authentication Service while preserving your investment in tokens. Easy to install and configure to ensure there's no service disruption during the migration.
